2009 Season:
|
Thanks for the great fishing charter my friend Bob Blome and I were on your
boat. It will be memorable and the pictures and fish will be a topic of
discussion for some time. |
|
Thanks again for
the wonderful fishing. Who would of thought that we'd come home, not
only with our limit, but with a 30#, 24#, 2-15# and all the rest
over 10# fish. It was the charter trip of a lifetime. |
|
Just a note to again thank you for your
services as captain and guide (July 30). I haven't been on many charters, but I
know a good one when I see it, and I appreciate your willingness to accommodate us and to put us over big fish. Dad will talk about this trip for
years (I think he did pretty well for being nearly 82). As you know, his brother
Ed Hedmark of Skandia tried to get him to the rock a few times, but until now
Dad had carried with him only Eds' stories of fishing at the rock. |
2011 Season:
"Captain Ric, just a big shout out and thank you for an unbelievable trip to Stannard Rock. All I can say to anyone who is a Trout fisherman, this is a must do trip, a bucket list event. In my fishing career I have been fortunate enough to have fished in many places both fresh and on the salt, this goes down as one of my best ever. For the quality, quanity, and variety of Lake Trout, about the only other place in North America would be Great Slave Lake or Bear. Hard to beleive a fishing Hot Spot like this exist in our own State of Michigan. I have to say the other part of this trip we all appreciated was your knowledge of the reef as to where to put and present the jigs on the fish. Already have a spot picked out on the wall for my 30.8 pound Laker! We will be back."

"Every angler should make at least one trip to Stannard Rock in their fishing career. Captain Ric O'Neill of Kimar's Charters has over 20 years of experience fishing lake trout on Lake Superior. Thanks to Ric our recent trip was an amazing success!"
