Located 25 miles northeast of the dock in
Shelter Bay, the Big Reef offers you a full day trolling adventure on
Lake Superior. The Big Reef is located near the Pictured Rocks
National Lakeshore, in between Munising and Grand Marais. This
trip is ideal for serious fishermen interested in a full day of fishing.
Although this trip is a little more expensive than the local trip,
catching fish is guaranteed. Limit catches and fish in the 20 to
30 pound range are the norm here. As with all our trips, lake
trout are the most commonly caught fish in this area. The trip runs approximately 8-10 hours. Departure is 6:00 am and you should return to the dock by about 2 pm. Fishing with Captain Ric is always an adventure. One of the greatest assets of Kimar's Charters is our originality and willingness to try new ideas!
